THE LOST GOSPEL
When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you will dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty.
If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.
I am not your master, because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out. He who would drink from my mouth will become like me. I myself shall become he, and the things that are hidden shall be revealed to him.
When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then you shall enter the kingdom.
What you look forward to has already come, but you do not recognize it, and it will not come by waiting for it. It will not be a matter of saying "Here it is" or "There it is". Rather, the kingdom of the father is spread upon the earth, but men do not see it.
I took my place in the midst of the world, and I appeared to them in flesh. I found all of them intoxicated; I found none of them thirsty. And my soul became afflicted for the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts and do not have sight; for empty they came into the world, and empty they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are intoxicated. Honour the demons, not because they are useful to you, but so that they may not do you harm.
If the flesh came into being because of the spirit, it is a wonder. But if the spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed that this great wealth has made its home in this poverty!
You do not know who I am from what I say to you?
Whoever has ears let him hear. There is light within a man of light, and he lights up the whole world. If he does not shine, he is in darkness.
Blessed are the solitary and elect, for you will find the kingdom. For you are from it, and to it you will return.
He whom you saw on the tree, glad and laughing, this is the living Christ. But this one into whose hands and feet they drive nails is his fleshy part, which is the substitute being put to shame, the one who came into being in his likeness. But look at him and me.
To the multitude below, I have been crucified and pierced with lances and reeds, and gall and vinegar is given me to drink. To you now I speak. And listen to my words. It was I who put it in your heart to ascend this mount, that you might hear what disciple must learn from his Master, and man from God.
Peter said, "Lord, no one is looking at you", and Jesus replies,"I have told you. Leave the blind alone".
And I saw another like Him come down, whom I also heard saying to my Lord, "Jesus, do they whom you have choosen still not believe in you? And my Lord said, "You speak truly, for they are men.
You will hear that I suffered, yet I suffered not; that I suffered not, yet did I suffer; that I was pierced, yet I was not smitten; that I was hanged; that blood flowed from me, yet it flowed not. In a word, those things that they say of me, I had not, and the things they say not, those I suffered. Now what they are I will shadow forth for you, for I know that you will understand.
Now the multitude that is about the cross is the lower nature, and those whom you see on the cross, if they have not one form, it is because not yet has every Limb of Him who came down has been gathered together. But when the upper nature shall be taken up, and the race which is preparing for me, in obedience to my voice; then that which as yet hears me not, shall become as you are, and shall no longer be what it is now, but above those of the world even as I am now. For so long as you do not call yourself mine, I am not what I am. But if hearing you listen to me, then you shall be as I am, and I shall be what I was, when I have you as I am with myself. For from this you are. Pay no attention, then, to the many, and to those outside the mystery think little of; for know that I am wholly with the Father and the Father with me.
How long shall I bear with you, how long shall I suffer you? Do you not know and understand that yoy are all purgations of the Treasure. You have been in great afflictions and tribulations in your pourings into different bodies in this world. And after all these afflictions which come from yourselves, you have struggled and fought, renouncing the whole world and all the matter that is in it.....I tell you, the race of human kind is matter. I have torn myself asunder, I have brought them the mysteries of Light, to purify them.
