A DEFINITION OF GOD

BUT... IS THIS THE ULTIMATE DEFINITION OF GOD IN OUR TIMES ?

“Monism is a point of view within metaphysics which argues that the variety of existing things in the universe are reducible to one substance or reality and therefore that the fundamental character of the universe is unity. Contrasting with this point of view is dualism which asserts that there are two ultimately irreconcilable substances or realities (with consciousness and/or mind on the one hand and matter on the other) or pluralism which asserts any number of fundamental substances or realities more than two. Monisms may be theologically syncretic by proposing that there is one God who has many manifestations in the diverse religious traditions.”

All of Existence is Itself a part of God - God is the Sum of ALL Natural Processes – The Ground of ALL Being - Omnipresence, the Supreme.. or Ultimate.. Reality.  The Creative and Controlling Force in the Universe - The Life Force - The Force regarded as causing and regulating the Phenomena of the World by the Universal Natural Laws - God is both Outside.. and Inside.. Space-Time. Not subject to the cycle of Birth and Death - The Ultimate, the Absolute, Infinite and Eternal….. ENERGY and FORCE…

The word – GOD – functions as a SYMBOL.. representing.. the underlying Unity.. and.. or.. as  a METAPHOR..  representing a personification of a Motivating Power.. of a Value System.. that functions in Human Life.. and in the Universe. The Force.. and Energy.. that supports the World - A personification of the Energy.. or Force.. that seems to regulate the Physical Universe - An anthropomorphic idea whose dynamism.. and symbolism.. are filtered through the medium of the psyche..

“We are inseparable from nature. God is the living fabric of the universe.” - Author Unknown

"We know some things have causes. But there cannot be an infinite regress of cause and effect so there must be a Cause which is itself uncaused - a source of all being - "and this is what we call God."
- Thomas Aquinas

THE WORD - GOD - IS A METAPHOR

“God is a metaphor for THAT WHICH  TRANSCENDS ALL LEVELS OF INTELLECTUAL THOUGHT. It's as simple as that. The Ultimate, Unqualified Mystery is BEYOND HUMAN EXPERIENCE”  - Joseph Campbell

“Everything that has been said, and every conclusion that has been tentatively put forward, is quite frankly speculative and uncertain. We have tried to discuss whether present-day science has anything to say on certain difficult questions, which are perhaps set for ever BEYOND THE REACH OF HUMAN UNDERSTANDING. We cannot claim to have discerned more than a very faint glimmer of light at the best; perhaps it was wholly illusory, for certainly we had to strain our eyes very hard to see anything at all. So that our main contention can hardly be that the science of to-day has a pronouncement to make, perhaps it ought rather to be that science should leave off making pronouncements: the river of knowledge has too often turned back on itself.” – James Jeans

Albert Einstein wrote -  "The most beautiful and deepest experience a man can have is the sense of the mysterious. It is the underlying principle of religion as well as all serious endeavour in art and science. He who never had this experience seems to me, if not dead, then at least blind. To sense that behind anything that can be experienced there is SOMETHING THAT OUR MIND CAN NOT GRASP and whose beauty and sublimity reaches us only indirectly and as a feeble reflection, this is religiousness. In this sense I am religious. To me it suffices to wonder at these secrets and to attempt humbly to grasp with my mind a mere image of the lofty structure of all that there is."

"I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings."

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it." - Albert Einstein

“Not only is the Universe stranger than we think, it is stranger than we can think.” - Werner Heisenberg

“As our attainments were freed from the mists in which they were first immersed , science took its modern form. Thus scientists have come to feel more and more  keenly that there exists in nature an order, a harmony , which is at least partially accessible to our intelligence, and they have devoted all their efforts to discover each day more of the nature and extent of this harmony.” - Louis de Broglie

As Heinz Pagels, a theoretical physicist explains: This unthinkable void converts itself into  the plenum of existence - a necessary consequence of physical laws. Where are these laws written into that void? What "tells" the void that it is pregnant with a possible universe? It would seem that even the void is subject to law, A LOGIC THAT EXISTS PRIOR TO SPACE AND TIME.”

”Mind and intelligence are woven into the fabric of our universe in a way that  altogether surpasses our understanding.”  Freeman Dyson

”We have actually touched the Borderland where Matter and Force seem to merge into one another, the shadowy realm between the Known and Unknown ... I venture to think that the greatest scientific problems of the future will find their solution in this Borderland, and even beyond; here, it seems to me, lie Ultimate Realities, subtle, far-reaching, wonderful.” - Sir William Crookes

“The whole history of science has been the gradual realization that events do not happen in an arbitrary manner, but that they reflect a certain underlying order, which may or may not be divinely inspired.” - Stephen W. Hawking

'Another source of conviction in the existence of God ... follows from the ... impossibility of conceiving this immense and wonderful universe, including man with his capacity for looking far backwards and far into futurity, as the result of blind chance or necessity.' - Charles Darwin

“The visible world is the invisible organization of energy.” - Physicist Heinz Pagels

GOD AS A SYMBOL FOR WHOLESS... or... ONENESS

This quote below is Einstein speaking to Schwinger.. (one of the founders of quantum field theory).. about what he saw as a problem of having six quantum fields…. instead of just ONE.......... Primary Field

“This is indeed a beautiful theory, but it seems there are six separate fields – four force fields and two matter fields. As you know, my hope was to find a single field that comprises all forces and matter. This theory of yours does not meet that objective.”

"When forced to summarize the general theory of relativity in one sentence: Time and space and gravitation have no separate existence from matter. ... Physical objects are not in space, but these objects are spatially extended. In this way the concept 'empty space' loses its meaning. ... The particle can only appear as a limited region in space in which the field strength or the energy density are particularly high....” -  Albert Einstein

“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” - Albert Einstein

"Reality cannot be found except in One single source, because of the interconnection of all things with one another."  -- Leibniz

"We are a part of Nature as a WHOLE whose order we follow."  --  Spinoza

"Nick Herbert, a physicist who heads the C-Life Institute, suggests that we have merely discovered an elemental oneness of the world. This oneness cannot be diminished by spatial separation. An invisible wholeness unites the objects that are given birth in the universe, and it is this wholeness that we have stumbled into through modern experimental methods. Herbert alludes to the words of the poet Charles Williams: "Separation without separateness, reality without rift."

"The interrelation of human consciousness and the observed world is obvious in Bell's Theorem. Human consciousness and the physical world cannot be regarded as distinct, separate entities. What we call physical reality, the external world, is shaped - to some extent - by human thought. The lesson is clear; we cannot separate our own existence from that of the world outside. We are intimately associated, not only with the earth we inhabit, but with the farthest reaches of the cosmos."

”Modern physics has taught us that the nature of any system cannot be discovered by dividing it into its component parts and studying each part by itself... We must keep our attention fixed on the whole and on the interconnection between the parts. The same is true of our intellectual life. It is impossible to make a clear cut between science, religion, and art. The whole is never equal simply to the sum of its various parts.” - Max Planck

“You may object that by speaking of simplicity and beauty I am introducing aesthetic criteria of truth, and I frankly admit that I am strongly attracted by the simplicity and beauty of mathematical schemes which nature presents us. You must have felt this too: the almost frightening simplicity and wholeness of the relationship, which nature suddenly spreads out before us.”

“The existing scientific concepts cover always only a very limited part of reality, and the other part that has not yet been understood is infinite.”

“There is a fundamental error in separating the parts from the whole, the mistake of atomizing what should not be atomized. Unity and complementarity constitute reality.”

“...separation of the observer from the phenomenon to be observed is no longer possible.”- Werner Heisenberg

”Science is reticent too when it is a question of the great Unity – the One of Parmenides – of which we all somehow form part, to which we all belong. The most popular name for it in our time is God – with a capital ‘G’

“We living beings all belong to one another, we are all actually members.. or aspects.. of a single Being, which we may in western terminology call God, while in the Upanishads it is called Brahman.”

“Quantum physics thus reveals a basic oneness of the universe.”  - Erwin Schrödinger

“The notion of a separate organism is clearly an abstraction, as is also its boundary.  Underlying all this is unbroken wholeness even though our civilization has developed in such a way as to strongly emphasize the separation into parts.” --  David Bohm, The Undivided Universe: An Ontological Interpretation of Quantum Theory

“We have reversed the usual classical notion that the independent elementary parts of the world are the fundamental reality, and that the various systems are merely particular contingent forms and arrangements of these parts. Rather, we say that inseparable quantum interconnectedness of the whole universe is the fundamental reality, and that relatively independent behaving parts are merely particular and contingent forms within this whole.”

“Indeed, the attempt to live according to the notion that the fragments are really separate is, in essence, what has led to the growing series of extremely urgent crises that is confronting us today.”

“Space is not empty. It is full, a plenum as opposed to a vacuum, and is the ground for the existence of everything, including ourselves. The universe is not separate from this cosmic
sea of energy.”

"Individuality is only possible if it unfolds from wholeness."

“Ultimately, all moments are really one, therefore now is an eternity.”

David Bohm Quotes

"If man thinks of the totality as constituted of independent fragments, then that is how his mind will tend to operate, but if he can include everything coherently and harmoniously in an overall whole that is undivided, unbroken, and without a border then his mind will tend to move in a similar way, and from this will flow an orderly action within the whole."

David  Bohm quote from - Wholeness and the Implicate Order

“If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself up, until he sees all things through narrow chinks of his cavern.” -  William Blake

"This unity alone in the world is boundless in its reality, and being boundless is yet one.... Though in small things, yet it is in great.... Though in great things, yet it is in small. Pervading all things, present in every minutest hair, and yet including the infinite worlds in its embrace; enthroned in the minutest particle of dust, and yet turning the Great Wheel of the Law; opposed to all sensible phenomena; it is one with Divine Knowledge." - Buddha

COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS

“The Over Soul - That great nature in which we rest, as the earth lies in the soft arms of the atmosphere is that Unity, that Over-Soul, within which every man’s particular being is contained and made one with all other. . . . We live in succession, in division, in parts, in particles. Meantime within man is the soul of the whole; the wise silence; the universal beauty, to which every part and particle is equally related; the eternal One. And this deep power in which we exist, and whose beatitude is all accessible to us, is not only self-sufficing and perfect in every hour, but the act of seeing and the thing seen, the seer and the spectacle, the subject and the object, are one. We see the world piece by piece, as the sun, the moon, the animal, the tree; but the whole, of which these are the shining parts, is the soul....

All goes to show that the soul in man is . . . the background of our being, in which they lie, — an immensity not possessed and that cannot be possessed. From within or from behind, a light shines through us upon things, and makes us aware that we are nothing, but the light is all. A man is the facade of a temple wherein all wisdom and all good abide. . . . When it breathes through his intellect, it is genius; when it breathes through his will, it is virtue; when it flows through his affection, it is love....

Of this pure nature every man is at some time sensible. Language cannot paint it with his colours. It is too subtle. It is undefinable, unmeasurable, but we know that it pervades and contains us. We know that all spiritual being is in man. . . . We lie open on one side to the deeps of spiritual nature, to the attributes of God.”

“For, the sense of being which in calm hours rises, we know not how, in the soul, is not diverse from things, from space, from light, from time, from man, but one with them and proceeds obviously from the same source whence their life and being also proceed. We first share the life by which things exist and afterwards see them as appearances in nature and forget that we have shared their cause. Here is the fountain of action and of thought. Here are the lungs of that inspiration which gives man wisdom. . . . We lie in the lap of immense intelligence.”

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters to what lies within us.”

Extract -  The Over Soul - Essays - Ralph Waldo Emerson

NOTE - “What is Emerson talking about? First, he is describing not just an idea or an intellectual insight but a unique experience. These experiences come only as “brief moments” — but they contain “more reality” than “all other experiences.” At such moments, he believes, he experiences what is ordinarily hidden — “the soul of the whole,” the source of his being, the source of life itself. To this inner field of life he gives the name Over-Soul.

A fourth state of consciousness

This inner field of life, he goes on to tell us, lies beyond all diversity. It is a unity, “the eternal One.” When he experiences this unity, he says, “the act of seeing and the thing seen, the seer and the spectacle, the subject and the object, are one.”

"I saw that the universe is not composed of dead matter, but is, on the  contrary, a living Presence; I became conscious in myself of eternal  life.  It was not a conviction that I would have eternal life, but a  consciousness that I possessed eternal life then; I saw that all men are  immortal; that the cosmic order is such that without any peradventure all  things work together for the good of each and all; that the foundation  principle of the world, of all the worlds, is what we call love, and that the happiness of each and all is in the long run absolutely certain." - R.M Bucke

"Everything emanates from the same source. Everything is a voice or speech resounding over the world, through the entire universe, through microcosmos and macrocosmos. It vibrates through the shining of the stars. It shines in the orbits of the planets. It is whispered through the gentle breeze and is murmured in the depths of the forest. It is whistled through the sirens of the factories and is heard in the noise of the machines. It is sung over the cradle and spoken at the grave. It is vague feeling or notion, wisdom and belief. It is knowledge, recognition and hope. It is death, resurrection and life. It is colour, vibration and light. It is everything that can in any way be sensed, thought and experienced."
Martinus

"Everything is dependent on everything else, everything is connected, nothing is separate. Therefore everything is going in the only way it can go. If people were different everything would be different. They are what they are, so everything is as it is."
- G. I. Gurdjieff

"The spirit down here in man and the spirit up there in the sun, in reality are only one spirit, and there is no other one." - The Upanishads

James Jeans Quotes

English physicist, astronomer and mathematician whose early career was in molecular physics, followed by an interest in astronomy and in later life he popularized science through books, radio broadcasts and lectures…..

“Today there is a wide measure of agreement, which on the physical side of science approaches almost to unanimity, that the stream of knowledge is heading towards a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter...we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter.” - James Jeans

“We have already considered with disfavour the possibility of the universe having been planned by a biologist or an engineer; from the intrinsic evidence of his creation, the Great Architect of the Universe now begins to appear as a pure mathematician.” - James Jeans

“The universe can best be pictured as consisting of pure thought, the thought of what for want of a better word we must describe as a mathematical thinker.”

“The final truth about a phenomenon resides in the mathematical description of it; so long as there is no imperfection in this, our knowledge of the phenomenon is complete. We go beyond the mathematical formula at our own risk; we may find a model or a picture which helps us understand it, but we have no right to expect this, and our failure to find such a model or picture need not indicate that either our reasoning or our knowledge is at fault. The making of models or pictures to explain mathematical formulas and the phenomena they describe is not a step towards, but a step away from reality; it is like making a graven image of a spirit.”

“The concepts which now prove to be fundamental to our understanding of nature—a space which is finite; a space which is empty, so that one point [of our 'material' world] differs from another solely in the properties of space itself; four-dimensional, seven- and more dimensional spaces; a space which for ever expands; a sequence of events which follows the laws of probability instead of the law of causation—or alternatively, a sequence of events which can only be fully and consistently described by going outside of space and time—all these concepts seem to my mind to be structures of pure thought, incapable of realisation in any sense which would properly be described as material.”

While Erwin Schroedinger wrote....

Schrodinger's Mind and Matter AND The Oneness of Mind

“The earliest records, to my knowledge, date back some 2500 years or more. From the early great Upanishads the recognition Atman = Brahman (the personal self equals the omnipresent)…was in Indian thought considered to represent the quintessence of deepest insight into the happenings of the world…

Again, the mystics of many centuries, independently, yet in perfect harmony with each other (somewhat like the particles in an ideal gas) have described, each of them, the unique experience of his or her life in terms that can be condensed in the phrase: Deus factus sum (I have become God)." Erwin Schroedinger (1887-1961), 'The I That Is God'” - Erwin Schroedinger - 'The Oneness of Mind'

“What is this "I"?

You will, on close introspection, find that what you really mean by "I"

Is the ground-stuff upon which all experiences are collected.” - Erwin Schroedinger

”Science is reticent too when it is a question of the great Unity – the One of Parmenides – of which we all somehow form part, to which we all belong. The most popular name for it in our time is God – with a capital ‘G’  -

“We living beings all belong to one another, we are all actually members.. or aspects.. of a single Being, which we may in western terminology call God, while in the Upanishads it is called Brahman.”

“Quantum physics thus reveals a basic oneness of the universe.”

Erwin Schrödinger produced a three line logical proof of the existence of God based not on quantum theory but on the more general Materialist Assumption that the universe is completely describable by materialist laws. In the tradition of Aristotle, Aquinas and Anselm, here is Schrödinger's Proof for the Existence of God:

1. My body functions as a pure mechanism according to the laws of nature (Materialist Assumption).

2, Yet I know by direct and incontrovertible experience that I am directing its motions, of which I correctly foresee the effects.

3. Conclusion: I am the Person who controls the motions of the atoms according to the Law of Nature = I am God.

Concepts of the Existence of God

“What is a god? A god is a personification of a motivating power of a value system that functions in human life and in the universe.”
“The ultimate, unqualified mystery is beyond Human experience”

“God is within you! You yourself are the creator. If you find that place within you from which you brought this thing about, you will be able to live with it and affirm it, perhaps even enjoy it, as your life.”

“The best way to help mankind is through the perfection of yourself.”

“Is the god the source, or is the god a human manner of conceiving of the force and energy that supports the world?”

“God is a metaphor for that which transcends all levels of intellectual thought. It's as simple as that.”

- Joseph Campbell

OTHER DEFINITIONS OF GOD... ARE - the "Transcendent" beyond or above the range of normal or physical human experience.  - Omnipotence (unlimited ENERGY), and as having an Eternal and necessary existence.. these attributes are used either in way of analogy, or in a literal sense as distinct properties. God is most often held to be incorporeal (immaterial). -  Incorporeality and corporeality of God are related to conceptions of transcendence (being outside nature) and immanence (being in nature) of God, with positions of synthesis such as the "immanent transcendence".

God is the creator and sustainer of the universe - the "greatest conceivable existent– The ONENESS - The monistic substrate, an underlying substance or layer that which we cannot understand. "Formless" - "Eternal" - "Invisible" or "Unobserved".
The incorporeal Principle ruling over all things as “Eternal Spirit” or “Infinite Mind”.  The Great Architect of the Universe – The Spirit of life" that binds all life on earth. – The Unmoved mover

NATURE DEFINITION  - the force that is responsible for physical life and that is sometimes spoken of as a person: Nature" refers to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general. It ranges in scale from the subatomic to the cosmic. the sum total of all things in time and space; the entire physical universe - the power, force, principle, etc. that seems to regulate the physical universe often personified, sometimes as Mother Nature - Mother Nature - nature personified as a creative and controlling force affecting the world and humans.  - personification of the power or force that seems to regulate the physical universe - a personification of the forces of nature as a controlling and regulating maternal being, sometimes creative and caring. - Nature can also be viewed as the generous provider of all things.... AND - Nature exists, and there is a tremendous amount of evidence that it does.

Quoting the definition of Nature… from the dictionaries..

The sum total of all things in time and space; the entire physical universe.

The power, force, principle, etc. that seems to regulate the physical universe: often personified, sometimes as Mother Nature.

This definition arose from the science of physics…

“According to the present understanding, there are four fundamental interactions or forces: gravitation, electromagnetism, the weak interaction, and the strong interaction. “What is the role of fundamental forces in nature? They shape the universe into being what it is. Change any of them and we would no longer exist. Not just us, but the stars and planets would be gone.”

“It was not by accident that the greatest thinkers of all ages were deeply religious souls.”
- Max Planck

Some of Our Greatest Thinkers in Science.. who Embraced Mysticism..... Pantheism.. and.. or.. Idealism........ were… Kurt Godel, Freeman Dyson, Max Plank, Wolfgang Pauli, David Bohm, Albert Einstein, Werner Heisenberg, Erwin Schroedinger, Isaac Newton, Louis De Broglie, James Jeans, Arthur Eddington, Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, Werner Heisenberg, Charles Darwin and Carl Jung……

Max Planck said - “As a physicist, that is, a man who had devoted his whole life to a wholly prosaic science, the exploration of matter, no one would surely suspect me of being a fantasist. And so, having studied the atom, I am telling you that there is no matter as such!  All matter arises and persists only due to a force that causes the atomic particles to vibrate, holding them together in the tiniest of solar systems, the atom. Yet in the whole of the universe there is no force that is either intelligent or eternal, and we must therefore assume that behind this force there is a conscious, intelligent Mind or Spirit. This is the very origin of all matter.” - Max Planck - “Materialistic Science on the Wrong Track”).

“Do you think that consciousness can be explained in terms of matter?” Max Planck replied: - “No, I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.”

The whole is never equal simply to the sum of its various parts.”

“The entire world we apprehend through our senses is no more than a tiny fragment in the vastness of Nature.”

- Max Planck

“There is a fundamental error in separating the parts from the whole, the mistake of atomizing what should not be atomized. Unity and complementarity constitute reality.” - Werner Heisenberg

Both of us seem to agree that the future of Jung's ideas is not with [psycho-] therapy... but with a unitarian, holistic concept of nature and the position of man in it. - Wolfgang Pauli

“We must be clear that when it comes to atoms, language can be used only as in poetry. The poet, too, is not nearly so concerned with describing facts as with creating images and establishing mental connections.“

“Quantum provides us with a striking illustration of the fact that though we can fully understand a connection … we can only speak of it in images and parables. We must be clear that when it comes to atoms, language can be used only as in poetry. The poet, too, is not nearly so concerned with describing facts as with creating images and establishing mental connections.“

— Niels Bohr

“All integral laws of spectral lines and of atomic theory spring originally from the quantum theory. It is the mysterious organ on which Nature plays her music of the spectra, and according to the rhythm of which she regulates the structure of the atoms and nuclei.” — Arnold Sommerfeld

THE ETERNAL EXISTENCE

Eternity'—time that goes on and on and does not end—used to be the province of philosophy, even theology, with no real evidence. But now cosmologists are using astounding observations and new fundamental theories to project what will happen to our universe in 10^100 years - that's a number with one hundred zeros. And then there's other possible universes too.

“We feel and know that we are eternal.” - Edmund Spenser

“It gives me a deep comforting sense that ‘things seen are temporal and things unseen are eternal.”
-Helen Keller
“But the eternal is not a thing which can be had regardless of the way in which it is acquired; no, the eternal is not really a thing, but is the way in which it is acquired.” - Kierkegaard

"Start right now drawing from the infinite eternal source which knows no beginning and no end."
-Eileen Caddy

GOD AND MANKIND ARE ONE AND THE SAME - GOD IS INSIDE US

“I have yet to meet a single person from our culture, no matter what his or her educational background, IQ, and specific training, who had powerful transpersonal experiences and continues to subscribe to the materialistic monism of Western science.” - Albert Einstein

“Everything you see has its roots in the unseen world. The forms may change, yet the essence remains the same. Every wonderful sight will vanish; every sweet word will fade, But do not be disheartened, The source they come from is eternal, growing, Branching out, giving new life and new joy. Why do you weep? The source is within you And this whole world is springing up from it.” - Jelauddin Rumi

"The end of life is to be like God, and the soul following God will be like Him." – Socrates

“God sleeps in the rock… Dreams in the plant… Stirs in the animal… And awakens in man..”

“I searched for God and found only myself... I searched for myself and found only God.”

- Sufi teaching

“...perhaps there is a pattern set up in the heavens for one who desires to see it, and having seen it, to find one in himself.” - Plato

“That which the dream shows is the shadow of such wisdom as exists in man, even if during his waking state he may know nothing about it... We do not know it because we are fooling away our time with outward and perishing things, and are asleep in regard to that which is real within our self.” - Philipus Aureolus Paracelsus

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters to what lies within us.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Whoever does not know Self – does not know anything, but whoever knows Self – already has acquired the Knowledge about the Depth of the Universe.”

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

The God Concept of the New Testament..... is clearly defined as.. God and Mankind being - POTENTIALLY -  one and the same... and God existing.. or not existing..  in human hearts and minds.. a concept which is very popular in our times..................... Nothing supernatural about that...

Jesus taught that God is Spirit............. St Paul further clarifies that God is a Spirit that is alive inside human hearts and minds..............  Notice.. neither of them say.. God is a Supernatural man in the sky………….. it is a foolish idea.. and the people who wrote the Bible were extremely smart.. Try writing something that people would still find interesting.. and meaningful… (that attacks the corrupted system.. that STILL exists)………… over 2000 years from now… if you doubt how clever they were..

AND... The God of the New Testament is defined as being.. the Spirit of Loving kindness.. Righteousness.. Justice.. Peace.. Wisdom.. Truth.. and Freedom..... the Spirit that Jesus manifested in his words.. and actions....  while the god concept of the Old Testament.. was made obsolete by the New Testament of Jesus..

And it is this KNOWLEDGE of God that the scriptures teach us....

There's nothing supernatural about this teaching... the supernatural being idea.. is due poor reading comprehension.. and by some people reading the Bible literally..

People are often confused by the language used in the Bible.. because the writers were poets.. and story-tellers.. and poets.. and story-tellers.. are the last people you want to read literally…

QUOTE - "Do you not know that you people are God's temple, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? The temple of God is holy, which temple you people are."

Then we have the god-man that was spoken of by Friedrich Nietzsche… the The Übermensch (German for "Beyond-Man")

Jesus was leading us by example.....

“Once more the Jews lifted up stones to stone him. Jesus replied to them: "I displayed to you many fine works from the Father. For which of those works are you stoning me?"

The Jews answered him: "We are stoning you, not for a fine work, but for blasphemy, even because you, although being a man, make yourself a god."

Jesus answered them : "Is it not written in your Law, `I said: "You are gods"'? – I John 10:31

Jesus was quoting Psalms 82:5 in his defence that God and mankind were – potentially – one and the same..…. AND............ Psalms 82:5 clearly says....

“They have not known, and they do not understand; In darkness they keep walking about; All the foundations of the earth are made to totter. I myself have said, 'You are gods, And ALL of you are sons of the Most High.” - Psalms 82:5

“Every church is a stone.. On the grave of a god-man: It does not want him to rise up again.. under any circumstances.” - Friedrich Nietzsche

"So in this idea, then, everybody is fundamentally the ultimate reality. Not God in a politically kingly sense, but God in the sense of being the self, the deep-down basic whatever there is. And you're all that, only you're pretending you're not. And it's perfectly OK to pretend you're not, to be perfectly convinced, because this is the whole notion of drama." – Alan Watts

The ULTIMATE REALITY BEING…

“The misconception which has haunted philosophic literature throughout the centuries is the notion of 'independent existence.' There is no such mode of existence; every entity is to be understood in terms of the way it is interwoven with the rest of the universe.”

“The foundation of reverence is this perception, that the present holds within itself the complete sum of existence, backwards and forwards, that whole amplitude of time, which is Eternity.”  -   Alfred North Whitehead
