1970 MOVED FROM LONDON TO LLANELLI IN SOUTH WALES
1973 MOVED TO PEMBROKE IN SOUTH WALES
1975 WAS WHEN I MET ROSALIA WHEN i WENT UP TO LONDON FOR THE WEEKEND.. TO SEE THE EAGLES PLAY AT WEMBLEY STADION..
I must have been about 19... when I met Rosemary.. a very attractive girl.. with long blond hair and a very short skirt.. She came up to London from South wales.. and had a lovely Welsh accent.. When we first met in London...  We moved in together.. and got a bed-sit in Cambridge Gardens.. a street off Ladbroke Grove.. in an area that was popular with the hippies.. it was considered to be.. a COOL PLACE TO LIVE.

She persuaded me to come back to Wales with her.. so we ended up living in Llanelli.. She got me to buy a suit and a ring for her.. but it was many years later that I finally understood.. she wanted me to marry her..  but I didn't see it.. at that time..I guess.. because I lacked empathy.

We lasted about a year.. until I decided to go hitch hiking to Copenhagen.. by myself.. and when I got back.. she had found someone else.. but we continued to be good friends for many years after.
At a time when I did not have a job.. I was hitch-hiking.. and got a lift with a nice woman who offered me a job working on a large estate.. fixing things in the house and taking care of the gardens.. It was my dream job. The other people working there were all very nice and friendly.. and so I had good company.. and friends.. Meals were all cooked for me.. in the big house and I had an old landrover that I drove around the estate in.. with green wellington boots to match..  Part of my job was to keep the woodland paths cleared..

Below is a photo of me in the woods.. next to it is.. Fiona.. who was my friend there.. and she was also the secretary.. who organized the field trips.... Students would come every week in the warm weather to study nature in the surrounding countryside.. and visit the diverse beaches.

1967 The Summer Of Love in London
The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream was a concert held in the Great Hall of the Alexandra Palace.. London, on 29 April 1967.. and I went along to this amazing ALL NIGHTER.. which was organized by the UFO CLUB.. I was just 16 back then.

BELOW - The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm London.. at the time of the UFO CLUB.Today it is famous.. and one of the main music venues in London.. but I liked it so much better... in 1967 .. WHEN ITS MEMBERS WERE CONSIDERED TO BE - LONG-HAIRED LAW BREAKERS.. and REBELS.
I rented the ground floor flat in this house.. and in no time at all the entire house was full of Welsh hippies.. living above and below me.. so in the end it became a kind of commune. Every night was party night.. We took a lot of drugs.. and had plenty of girls.. loud music.. and saw police cars parked outside our house at 3 in the morning.  WE HAD A LOT OF FUN HERE.. In the daytime we would gather in the MAYFAIR CAFE in town.. and plan our day.. Like.. where to get some drugs.. and deciding what adventures we could go on.. like ghost hunting in old empty manor houses.. or a camp fire on the beach.. etc.
The sea was close by so we went swimming.. and there were some beautiful walks around the Boshington Lily Ponds.. a local beauty spot..
The Master Game: Pathways to Higher Consciousness (Consciousness Classics) by Robert S. de Ropp

TO QUOTE READER'S COMMENTS - "The Master Game: Pathways to Higher Consciousness" may have been written in the 1950s, but it is astonishing in its relevance to the present. de Ropp frames human existence in terms of the games man plays, grouping them into object games (the pursuit of wealth, fame, and resources) and meta games (the pursuit of beauty and truth), and identifying the Master Game (the pursuit of enlightenment) as the only one worth playing.

I've found his candor and utter disdain for object games and organized religion really refreshing, and he is as eloquent on the drug experience as he is honest about how it will not lead to enlightenment. I haven't read anything with this much enthusiasm in years! Brilliant book every home should have a copy.makes a difficult subject easy, simplified and possible to under-stand.would not live with out it. "
I took yoga and meditation classes in Pembroke.. and even took a teacher's training course.. that I never completed because I went to mexico.. But.. this was where I had my first experience of changes of consciousness.. and it fascinated me.. It was these altered state of consciousness experiences that first fired my interest in philosophy..

The first book I ever read on this topic was called - The Master Game - That explained how the drug experience is of the same nature as the experience of an altered state of consciousness.. we have during deep meditation.

MY OLD HOUSE IN THE WOODS.. IT WAS SO PEACEFUL THERE

Alister lived in the grounds in his gypsy caravan with Dianna.. his girlfriend.. He went on the have his own gypsy caravan museum in Pembroke Town. He was an excellent carpenter.
I met Rose at Pembroke folk club.. She used to sing and play guitar.. and I played guitar too.. at that time..  so we became good friends.. I used to fix her fences.. and I liked spending time with her. She had several horses and two daughters.. along with a failing marriage.. but she was interesting when she spoke of her mystic insights..
It was organized to raise money..to cover the costs of a court case.. where the INTERNATIONAL TIMES.. a hippy newspaper.. otherwise known as - IT - was being prosecuted for obscenity.. it published some nude sexual photos (porn) that the state considered to be obscene in those days.. and gave good advice about using recreational drugs.
JEFF DEXTER WAS THE IN HOUSE DJ AT THE UFO CLUB
Syd Barratt.. founder of the PINK FLOYD was one of the first hippy bands to use liquid light shows in Britain.
